Peel Away 7 Paint Remover

is a environmentally safe, non-flammable stripper that does not contain methylene chloride, caustic or other harsh chemicals. PeelAway 7 is excellent for carved and molded areas and is especially useful in restoring old furniture. PeelAway 7 will not raise the grain nor will it discover the wood. The product can used with or without the PeelAway fibrous laminated paper and it depends on testing that is done prior to specifying the product. PeelAway 7 covers approximately 25-40 sq. ft. per gallon depending upon the application. PeelAway 7 can remove up to 15 layers of paint for a time frame predetermined by test area, usually 24-48 hours.

TYPES OF PAINT REMOVED: PeelAway 7 removes up to 15 layers of oil and latex paint, varnish, shellac, urethanes, epoxies, chlorinated rubber, elastomerics, aluminum, vinyls, mastics, automotive paints and most marine coatings.

SURFACES: PeelAway 7 is safe on any surface including fiberglass and can be used interior or exterior.

With stripping methods that involve scraping down to bare wood, some sanding might be necessary prior to the first coat of primer.  Scraping tends to burnish wood, making it too smooth and shiny to take paint properly.
