Concrete & Masonry

MasonrySaver water repellent is a modified siloxane small enough to penetrate most masonry and concrete pores. Unlike acrylics, silicones, and other waterproofing sealers that remain on the surface and trap water vapors, MasonrySaver allows deep penetration of its active ingredient up to 1/4 inch or more.  As a result, the special siloxanes in MasonrySaver react to form strong chemical bonds beneath a treated surface. These bonds allow MasonrySaver to become a physical part of the structure and provide long-term water repellent protection.

The manufacturer suggests the use of Muratic Acid prior to application of this product.  New concrete must cure for 28 days prior to application.

A MasonrySaver treatment is 100 percent vapor permeable, which allows the water vapors to escape. This reduces the spalling, scaling, deterioration, and freeze-thaw damage that results from trapped moisture when clear coatings and water sealers are used.

Description:

Brick Water Repellent is a one component, V.O.C. compliant water repellent which contains a proprietary modified siloxane.  This water-based siloxane penetrates masonry and concrete up to 1/4 inch or more depending on surface porosity and moisture content at the time of applications.

Brick Water Repellent reacts with the minerals in concrete and masonry in the presence of ultraviolet light and atmospheric moisture.  This reaction forms strong permanent bonds beneath the surface and creates a hydrophobic zone that prevents water molecules from penetrating, while allowing free migration of water vapors.  The chemical bonds formed in this process allow Brick Water Repellent to become an integral part of substrate and provide long-term water repellent protection.

Brick Water Repellent protects most vertical or horizontal exterior, above-grade surfaces including:  adobe, architectural concrete; pre-cast or cast-in-place, clay brick, mortars, natural stone, limestone, granite, sandstone, terra cotta, exposed aggregate products, portland cement stuccos and concrete masonry units.  Natural substrate color and surface textures are unaffected, with little or no gloss created.  Slight darkening may occur on some adobe, limestone, or very dense surfaces.  Testing is always recommended before treating any surface to ensure desired results. All-Purpose Heavy-Duty Water Repellent is a one component, V.O.C. compliant water repellent and "chloride screen", which contains an optimized blend of silane/siloxane.  This water-based blend penetrates concrete and masonry up to 1/4 inch or more depending on surface porosity and moisture content at the time of application.

Block ...unique blend of silane/siloxane & acrylic elastomers for porous block masonry...

Description:

Split-Face Block Water Repellent is a one component, V.O.C. compliant water repellent sealer for use on all block, but specifically lightweight, split-face and fluted block.  Split-Face Block Water Repellent is an optimized silane/siloxane blend with acrylic elastomers that penetrate small pores and capillaries and fill large ones.

The unique resin blend is UV stable and allows for penetration up to 3/4 of an inch or more depending on porosity of the concrete masonry unit (CMU).  This creates a deep, long-lasting hydrophobic zone within the subsurface without producing a glossy look.  The acrylic elastomers seal larger pores and capillaries while the hydrophobic (silane/siloxane) ingredients change the contact angle of the block pores from negative (suction) to positive (repellent).  This causes water to shed, and significantly reduces water penetrations into a wall system.  Split-Face Block Water Repellent combines the advantages of a film forming coating and a hydrophobic silane/siloxane water repellent.
