How does it work?
Microban^® protection is built-in to products during manufacture. It will not wash or wear out and is designed to last for the useful lifetime of the product. Once built-in, Microban^® active ingredients begin to neutralize the ability of microbes to function, grow and reproduce. Because the active ingredients are uniformly dispersed, the benefits of a built-in antimicrobial are present and effective throughout the product.

What makes this kitchen and batch paint different from products with ordinary disinfectant qualities?
Disinfectants provide a nearly instant, but short-term solution to the threat and inconvenience of microbes while the Built-In protection offered by the Microban^® brand provides long-lasting action, working continuously to inhibit microbe growth. Microban^® Built-In Protection does not eliminate the need for disinfectants, but it does provide an added line of defense against microbes in between regular cleanings.

Any other benefits of using Microban Kitchen and Bath paint?
Yes. This is an all acrylic product that in itself is self-priming.  Therefore you need only apply two coats to your surface.  No other priming method is required.

How about coverage? The manufacturer states coverage rates as follows; Smooth surfaces 400 - 450 sq ft per gallon. Porous surfaces 200 - 300 sq ft per gallon. Application volume by spray is approx. 50%.
